Notes:

This B31 later became the Empire (Metal Ware) B30 Horizontal engine. The patent date, is the date of the original D.C. Hughes patent for the Elektro vertical (see SS330). What's interesting is that the patent claims appear to apply to a vertical engine, not a horizontal. Also, the vertical Harvey in the collection has the same B31 tag. See SS296 for more info.
